Use AC power while OS update process. Every information or configurations will be removed after OS update.
Data stored in Flash Disk will remain undeleted except Format is performed.
MicroSD Update
MicroSD, less than 32GB of size, is required for OS update using MicroSD.
Copy downloaded bin file to root folder of MicroSD card. Then, insert the SD card to the device. MicroSD slot will appear if you remove the battery. Make sure the SD card is inserted properly and MicoSD slot cover is locked.
Right below the SD slot, you will find 4 switches as shown on image. Make sure switch number 1 is switched up and the rest pins are down. If it is not in the correct position, please set the switches as above image.
Attach fully charged battery. Then, while press and holding right arrow button (), press the power ( ) button briefly to enter the boot menu.

From the boot menu, select 1) by pressing the number on the keypad.
It will automatically start updating the OS. Once OS update is finished, ‘RESET…’ message will appear on the screen. Then, press the reset button ( ) to finish OS update.
USB Update(32bit only)
To update OS via USB, M3 BLACK desktop cradle and USB cable is required.
Attach fully charged battery. Then, while press and holding right arrow button (), press the power ( ) button briefly to enter the boot menu.
From boot menu, select 2) by pressing the number on the keypad. Then, ‘Connect USB Cable…’ message will appear at the bottom of the screen. Then connect the PDA to PC using the desktop cradle.
USB driver (TIUsbSer.inf) must be installed. To download USB driver click DONWLOAD.
Once the driver is installed successfully, ‘USB Download Ready…’ message will appear at the bottom of the screen. If the message does not appear, please check the driver installation again.
From the PC, launch USBDown.exe. To download USBDown.exe click DONWLOAD.
From the application, select All Image and click Open to select OS file.
When OS file is selected, Start button will be activated. Then, click Start to precede OS update.
When OS update is done, ‘RESET…’ message will appear on the screen. Then, press the reset button ( ) to finish OS update.
